David Gutman, M.D.

A native Clevelander, Dr. Gutman is a graduate of the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. He completed his residency at the MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio, and is board-certified in Internal Medicine. Dr. Gutman is also a member of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine.

His passion for nutrition, psychology, and his understanding of the relationships between food and disease led him to create Cleveland Nutrition. He wanted to use his knowledge to teach patients how to lose excess weight and actually reverse many of their chronic diseases using plant-based nutrition. His teaching and coaching styles help change the mindset of his patients, build their confidence, and empower them to make their lifestyle changes truly last a lifetime.

Rachel Laymon, R.D.N., L.D.

Born and raised in Northeast Ohio, Rachel has been practicing nutrition since 2010. She received her Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from the University of Akron and is a Registered and Licensed Dietitian in the State of Ohio.

Rachel has gained experience in a variety of settings over the years, working within community nutrition programs, clinical and hospital based practice, wellness, and even long term care. She joined Cleveland Nutrition in 2020 and is now utilizing her expertise to help our patients meet their health and nutrition goals, and provide realistic advice that can fit anyone's lifestyle.
